A Cap Table (or ‘capitalisation table’) is a table showing the equity ownership of a company – what shares were issued to whom, when and at what price. It is essential to have a Cap Table once you start to take on investment.

Your Cap Table will:

• show every shareholder who has invested in the Company to date (including option holders)
• show each investment round in a separate table
• provide a consolidate table that shows the current position including number of shares held and percentage shareholdings of both issued and fully diluted share capital

Yes of course. We will supply an up-to-date Cap Table in Excel. We are happy to update it for you after each funding round, but this would be for an additional fee.

Once the investment is final and share certificates have been issued, you need to add any new shareholders into the Cap Table and update the current position.
